László Fenyö, a native of Hungary, won the first prize in the Pablo Casals Competition in Kronberg in 2004. He is revered by audiences in his home country, and has given concerts at all the major concert halls in the USA, Asia and Europe.

Since the beginning of academic year 2009/2010 Fenyö has been teaching a class of his own at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Frankfurt am Main. He retains his connection as solo cellist with the hr Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, known internationally as the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra.

His delight in exploring rarely played solo literature completes the picture of a versatile musician whose work is recorded on CDs, and other media, for hr.music.de (Haydn D major, Shostakovich No. 1).

Starting summer semester 2012 he teaches as professor at the University of music in Karlsruhe.
