The selection process:

Your tutors of choice will select their active participants based on the recordings and CVs. Since there is a delay in postal delivery, and often not all formats can be read it is in your own interest that the samples (preferably video) are available online. On YouTube videos can also be set to "private". These are not public, but can only be reached through the link.
For audio samples we recommend soundcloud.
Inquiries about that topic can be sent to office@cello-akademie-rutesheim.de
Please also note that the teachers consider the "first choice" first. Take your time deciding who you want to study with.

Which or how many samples are needed for the selection?

The selection is based on the recordings and your possibility to present yourself. The tutors will listen to all the recordings.

Our recommendation for your recordings:

  • A virtuoso work - Piatti Caprice (except Nr.1) or Popper etude
  • 1 movement of a concerto or sonata from the standard repertoire
  • Prelude from a Bach Suite
  • As a thumb rule: fast - slow (2 pieces are sufficient)

Participation fee includes the following:

  • Complimentary private accommodation (only active participants)
  • 3 hours of tuition by teacher of choice with répétiteur (only active participants)
  • 2 concert opportunities for students, one with symphonic orchestra (only active participants)
  • Daily lunch
  • Listening in on all courses of the academy
  • Attendance to all concerts
