New Tutor Sebastian Klinger

We are very pleased that Sebastian Klinger has followed our invitation and will also hold a masterclass in Rutesheim.

Sebastian Klinger has been teaching at the Musikhochschule Hamburg since 2015 as a professor for violoncello after his long-term position as the first soloist of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

The course fee entitles active participants to:

• Private accommodation free of charge.
• 3 hours of lessons with piano accompaniment.
• The opportunity to perform in one of the two student concerts.
• Daily lunch provided in the Mensa.
• Access to listen to all masterclasses given during the course of the academy.
• Access to all concerts given throughout the duration of the festival.

Application for the jazz-masterclass 2017

This masterclass is open for all strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass) as well as ensembles with at least one string player.

Application for the course for cello-orchestra is now open

You can now register for our cello-orchestra workshop online.
The workshop is open for 120 cellists of all ages and performance levels. Applications will be considered in order of receipt. Once there are 120 completed the registration period ends.

Accommodation

You can book accommodation in the “Jugendgästehaus Leonberg” (about 5 km from rehearsal and concert venue). All rooms have a private bathroom and there is a good bus service to Rutesheim. You can easily book via our online-form.
There are ample rooms available.

This course is aimed at all cello students who want to prepare intensively for an audition. The audition for inclusion in an orchestra is a very special situation, which can not be simulated at home. This intensive course offers various possibilities, which can be individually discussed: individual lessons with Jakob Spahn, audition under realistic conditions and constructive personal debriefing.

Tutor: Jakob Spahn (1. Solo-Cellist at "Bayerische Staatsoper" in Munich, Germany).

This year we offer a master class as well as the course for audition training with Jakob Spahn. The masterclass is offered with the same conditions as all other masterclasses.
