Application for the master classes 2016

Application deadline for the master classes: July 15, 2016

Tutors 2016: Jens Peter Maintz, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Wen-Sinn Yang, Danjulo Ishizaka, Claudio Bohórquez, Troels Svane.

Important information: We have more tutors in Rutesheim than last year and all tutors are available for the whole week. So we have a lot more places for active participants than last year!

The course fee entitles active participants to:

• Private accommodation free of charge.
• 3 hours of lessons with piano accompaniment.
• The opportunity to perform in one of the two student concerts.
• Daily lunch provided in the Mensa.
• Access to listen to all master classes given during the course of the academy.
• Access to all concerts given throughout the duration of the festival.

Application for cello-orchestra 2016

You can now register for our cello-orchestra workshop online.
The workshop is open for 120 cellists of all ages and performance levels. Applications will be considered in order of receipt. Once there are 120 completed the registration period ends.

Date: October 31 - November 4, 2016
Application deadline: July 31, 2016
Course fee: 115 €

This year we will make sure that there are not more than 4 hours of rehearsals per day. This gives you the opportunity to listen to all master classes and concerts.

New: Accommodation on school property

For people at the age of 16 or older we can offer accommodation in classrooms on school grounds.
Costs: 50 € (5 nights)

Special ticket for the concerts during the rehearsal days: €40 / reduced €20 (4 concerts)

Application for the jazz-masterclass 2016

There are still some places left for the jazz-masterclass with Stephan Braun. This master class is open for all strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass).

Audition training for cellists with Jakob Spahn

We offer a new workshop in Rutesheim this year: Audition training for cellists

Course fee: 75 €/day

The course days can be booked individually. Per day 6 students can be accepted.

This course is available as a single course and can be booked as well as an additional course for all active and passive participants of masterclasses 2016. Accommodation is not included in the price. If necessary, talk to us, we will help you to find an affordable accommodation.

There will be 7 concerts during the Academy this year.
Special concert 2016: David Geringas and Ian Fountain will play all five Beethoven-sonatas on October 30, 2016.
