Bullettin board for the Jazz-Masterclass 2021
Information on registering for the jazz masterclass
Basically, all master class participants have 6 hours of lessons this year.
For the course with Stephan Braun, it is advisable to divide the hours into individual and ensemble lessons. Ensembles are formed during the first days of class and at the end there are opportunities to perform the rehearsed works.
If you have any questions and / or special requests, please send us an email to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org
Information on registration 2021
This year we will process the registrations as soon as they are received.
This means that everyone who has registered for the master classes will receive personal feedback from us a few days after registration.
There are 4 preferred professors you can register with. We try to take into account the first two wishes.
We strongly recommend that you also take Stephan Braun's course into account.
More information on this below.
Basically we imagine the process this year as follows:
We divide the 6 hours of lessons into 2 times 3 hours so that you can finish the course with the first professor first and then switch to the next professor.

Masterclass with Stephan Braun
Stephan Braun's course is not only aimed at jazz string players, but also explicitly at cellists who want to think outside the box and learn or deepen special playing techniques with him that are also suitable for "classical" repertoire.
Stephan Braun writes:
"Contemporary Cello Techniques"
In works by Crumb, Friedlander, Piazzolla, Sollima, Vasks and others, aspects relating to rhythm, phrasing and special playing techniques are worked out.
Previous knowledge of jazz is not required to take lessons from Stephan Braun. We very much appreciate it when students take the opportunity to get to know something new at the Academy 2021.
Since you can register with 2 professors, the jazz course can be perfectly combined with a classical masterclass .
