Concert overview 2026
The concerts of the Cello Akademie Rutesheim are special festival moments. Among the soloists are the tutors of the masterclasses – internationally renowned artists. Selected students will also present themselves to the audience. They travel to Rutesheim from all over the world; in the past, many of them have gone on to become prizewinners of major international competitions.
The Cello Akademie Rutesheim offers concert experiences that are only possible within the setting of a festival: from intimate chamber music evenings and orchestral concerts to the impressive sound of a large cello orchestra. Music, light and atmosphere come together to create a unique overall experience. In 2026, the Bühl 2 hall will once again be transformed into an atmospheric concert venue – with a stage, lighting effects, a grandstand and large LED screens that bring the audience close to the action, even from the back rows.
In 2026, look forward to two outstanding orchestral concerts: with the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen conducted by Alexander Mayer, and with the Württembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, which will perform the final concert under concertmaster direction. One evening will feature the tutors of the masterclasses, while the final concert will focus on selected students.
